Aerater good – Stand bad The thing leaks. Maybe should have tunnels at downward angle instead of level. Aerated does job as advertised. And I can deal with the leaking when holding with hand over glass. But when using with stand it creates a mess by running down sides and pooling at bottom. Have to wipe bottom of glass, take stand apart and wash. Horrible design. Even when holding by hand the mess is so that I won’t set it in the small stand. I just wash immediately. 30 seconds vs several hours in a decanter I love the Vinturi aerators. They do a great job of oxygenating wine and really opening it up the aromas and flavors. This is especially important in younger wines and more tannic wines. While decanting a bottle of wine and letting it breathe for several hours is still the best method, this comes pretty close and is MUCH more convenient.Also, the reserve model is really nice looking. Opens Up the Flavor with Each Pour Got this for my girlfriend who was previously letting her wine decant in the glass for 20 minutes with each pour. She loves this aerator and says it makes a big difference. Now she can drink wine straight away with the flavor nice and opened up.
