Although they are most effective when used with a genuine Vacu Vin Wine Saver Pump, they can also be used as a traditional stopper, keeping additional air out!
Vacu Vin Wine Saver Vacuum Stoppers are constructed from high-quality, food grade rubber that is dishwasher safe. They are extremely durable and will provide years of use. The cap on the top of the stoppers can be removed in order to aid cleaning.

Previous versions worked; these don’t. Won’t work with Vacu Vin air pump device. They’re slightly too small and don’t suction well. We’ve owned these colorful stoppers in past years, and they’ve worked well before. Our suction pump works on our older gray stoppers but not on these newer colorful ones. Seems like the original production specs aren’t being followed because these won’t create a vacuum in the bottle after pumping them. If you pull the stopper out right after you pump it, you don’t hear the whoosh of air being released. There’s no resistance when you’re pumping…
Colorful and effective. These provide visual distinctiveness (which may or may not matter to you) for the same price (or less!) as the original dull gray color. They work just like the original product — I don’t agree with the reviews that found them to be significantly different. Perhaps the product has changed? These all work just fine for us.

Colors can be associated with wine type too for easy spotting in the fridge, or pantry. They hold their pressure very well too. And of course, vacuumed wine outlasts room pressure capping a jillion to one. We enjoy a follow-up glass as long as a week after opening, and it’s still okay to the taste. Highly recommended.
