The idea for the Vacu Vin Wine Saver emanated directly from the taste of spoiled wine – something that its inventors wanted to prevent once a bottle had been opened. The device was the first of its kind within the international market and has revolutionised the wine preservation process. The Wine Saver is a vacuum pump that extracts the air from an opened wine bottle and re-seals it using a rubber stopper. The airtight vacuum inhibits the oxidation process that is responsible for the deterioration of wine. The vacuum is created by placing a stopper into the neck of the opened bottle and pumping it until resistance is detectable. The pump incorporates a patented ‘click’ mechanism that indicates when a sufficient airtight environment has been established.
The Vacu Vin Wine Saver is suitable for all but sparkling wines. It is highly durable and easy to clean via wiping with warm water and conventional detergents (if necessary). The Vacuum Stoppers are dishwasher safe.

Only needed 6-7 pumps to have the stopper sealed nicely and hear the clicking sound with the wine bottle … Pro: seller provided quick response and replacement. Con: Item received not genuine Vacu Vin.Ordered item and try to use it to preserve unfinished wine. Pumped many times and stopper does not seal, tried all 3 stoppers (should have 4 per the order but missing one when item arrived and box is torned.) with no luck. Contacted seller for the missing stopper and received a replacement with 2 stoppers and a new pump. The replacement is a genuine Vacu Vin and works as advertised. Only…
Counterfeit – Worst Amazon product ever. Maybe I’ve been spoiled buying so many things from Amazon. This may be my worst Amazon purchase ever. I ordered two pumps, each with four stoppers from the Amazon Warehouse. The battered boxes were expected, but two stoppers missing from one package were not expected. A far greater concern is that not one of the six stoppers worked and all six appear to be counterfeit. They are roughly formed and do not have the Vacu Vin logo on them. If For Some Reason You’re Not Finishing The Bottle What kind of hoity toity princess isn’t finishing the bottle once you open it? I mean, it’s only like 4 glasses. As if you have a job to go to in the morning. But maybe you’ve moved on to bottle number 2 and really do need to shut it down (1 bottle is cool; 2 bottles is just downright excessive).
