Shoddy Corkscrew If you read through the product reviews for this item you will see a constant theme: after a handful of uses of this product an internal plastic collar that guides the screw mechanism breaks in pieces, rendering the corkscrew useless (i.e., the screw mechanism cannot be centered in the cork). Broke after 4 years, immediate replacement. I thought this was awesome…until it broke…was ready to toss it, then saw that it had a 10 year warranty, customer service was fantastic, they sent me a new one. I had to take pics of the old one, no big deal, and email pics to them…they were prompt and courteous…what more could I ask… I did read that the new synthetic corks are harder on corkscrews, don’t know if that was the problem. But as long as this new one works, I am happy.
