Don’t waste your $, just leads to frustration and no wine! Was excited to get this, but that quickly turned to disappointment then to anger. First bottle didn’t go so hot, it died halfway through. My fault for not charging it when I got it (even though the battery indicator showed fully charged). The second attempt seemed to go better, but it struggled a bit getting the cork out. The third was a little more difficult for it to get out the cork, but the fourth…the fourth is what killed it. The corkscrew went into the cork, only for something inside…

Absolute Crud … a shame to the Metrokane name. I bought this because people seem to swear by the Metrokane name. I bought this on March 26, 2012, and have opened no more than 12 bottles of wine. I happen to know this because I do not drink much wine at home and often bring bottles to friend’s houses where they open them for me. The other night I was opening a standard cork bottle (not those rubber corks) and it stalled. I tried to get it to move but it did not. The thing was stuck on a $45 bottle of wine. I pulled and pulled and finally…

Quality control lacking for Rabbit Corkscrew? First one stopped working after full charge and one use. Amazon replaced it. Replacement worked for a few months but fully charged unit would only work for 7, then 5, then even fewer uses. Had to keep it always plugged in so that the unit stayed at full charge. After a few more weeks of working under this work-around, the unit would corkscrew down into the cork but stop before extracting the cork. And coaxing the cork out in this circumstance makes awkward hand wrestling with a wine bottle out…
