The Centellino is a unique top-of-the-bottle wine decanter that double aerates your wine in seconds. The first time as the wine flows down the inside of the glass bulb. At this point the sheet of wine is paper thin and can breathe in Oxygen and exhale the carbon dioxide. Then during the pour, the wine gets bubbled and mixed with air. This double aeration process both mellows the feel of the wine and also fully blooms and enriches the bouquet and flavor of every glass of wine. The old style decanters only hold one bottle of wine and take at least an hour to fully aerate. With the Centellino, you can have as many guests and serve as many bottles as you like and every serving will be aerated to perfection. Donât drink wine without it! When visiting Italy, this was the decanter/aerator being used in one of our favorite restaurants for every bottle of wine served. When learning these are handmade in Italy, we knew we wanted one and ordered a few for gifts. Tried glass of same wine without and then with this decanter – Wow!!! It really makes a difference. Also love that you can keep it in the bottle if I donât finish it after opening.
Beautifully designed and a great conversation piece I received one of these as a gift a few years ago and I have enjoyed using it. It is a very unique aerator with a very beautiful design. When I use it to pour red wine, the conversation almost stops while everyone watches.It takes a little practice at first to coordinate the right moves to go from bottle to bulb to glass, but after a few times it will become second nature.
